I had a fused ankle and l learned that it was more difficult than a normal TAR. Pain and hip got worse and made appointment with Dr DeOrio recommended by a patient Vic Edwards. Recommended TAR and scheduled operation. Amazing 4 months later I am walking with no pain and completely happy with the Dr. and the staff. Everyone I came in contact with was so caring and efficient. Dr. DeOrio and his ankle replacements were absolutely top of the line super. He said I would walk on them right away - and I did. I am 6 weeks later and walking in my tennis shoes! He recommended doing both ankles at the same time - best decision ever! I had to walk around like I was in ski boots for 6 weeks, but now I am done. Doing them both probably saved my hips from being off kilter with just one boot and causing another problem. He used 2 nerve blocks that helped a lot with the pain.
Without Dr. DeOrio I would not be walking today. He is an amazing Dr. I am so thankful that he has been my Dr. He fixed my ankle and now I am about to graduate college in May. Dr. DeOrio and his team made this possible for me. I am no long in sever pain, I can move my foot and walk again. I highly recommend him. Thank you so very much for my new ankle!
Husband is 4 yrs out from ankle replacement with Dr. DeOrio. The outcome has far exceeded our greatest hopes. He walks, plays golf and we travel extensively; all of which he does pain free. We live in Dallas and were concerned about local surgeons and their experience with various devices. Research reveled Dr. DeOrio’s extensive experience and relationship with all manufacturers. He was able to implant the device that was most suitable. Results are ideal. Duke is medically very travel friendly.
After many years of ankle pain, immobility, due to arthritis, I did not think that there was any possibility of improvement. Then, I was referred to Dr. DeOrio and in June 2017, he performed ankle replacement. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of this procedure and with the experience I have had with Dr. DeOrio. Beyond being a skillful and dedicated surgeon, he is compassionate and I could not be more grateful. I highly recommend Dr. DeOrio.
Had a bilateral ankle procedure done and everything went perfect..if you need an ankle replacement done I would definitely go see Dr.DeOrio first
After being told nothing could be done for my ankles, I went to see Dr. DeOrio, a very human and competent surgeon. He suggested I have both ankles replaced at the same time. The operation was completed and now almost four months later, while I am still recovering, I am very pleased with the whole process. Dr. DeOrio handled questions from me and my wife about the surgery & recovery. in a very professioal manner. The procedure eliminated the pain & discomfort of my eroded ankles.
I appreciate that I saw the Dr. an not a PA. He show genuine concern and listens to my questions. I did not feel that I was just a number and rushed out. The front staff was great I like that they confirmed every thing we discussed. There was always a smile on who ever I encountered. I nightly recommen Dr. DeOrio and his staff for ankle joint replacement. I traveled from Ky to have my surgery and it was well worth it. Happy patident
I am very pleased with Dr. DeOrio. I had hammertoes, bunions, and arthritis issues corrected on both my feet 6 weeks ago. Dr. DeOrio helped me understand very clearly what my issues were and what my options were to correct them. I am very pleased with the results so far. I had pain issues and questions in between appointments and used the MyChart email process to send my questions. I was very appreciative that each time Dr. DeOrio answered my questions very promptly. Very pleased with him.
