As a former Division I athlete, I fully understand the unique demands athletes place on their bodies, and how devastating injuries can be. I treat each and every athlete differently, as no single treatment is "perfect" for all patients. I am a very conservative doctor, and always consider conservative measures first. My ultimate goal is to get you back to the sport you enjoy as quickly and safely as possible using the most current and cutting edge techniques available.

A great Doctor. He and his staff were professional and efficient. They made me feel as if I were in good hands and they were right!
I highly recommend Dr. Brian Dierckman for Hip care and surgery. I am 42 and had a lot of pain in my hip. He took the time to try conservative treatments and therapy and didn’t simply jump towards surgery until we had exhausted options. He related to my issues and involved me in every part of decision making for this surgery. Had I known of him prior, I wouldn’t have gone to anyone else. I highly recommend him. The scar is clean which I’m very happy about and recovery easier than expected.
So happy to share my expierence Dr Dierkman is a very Kind person and he is really devoted to his carrier very professional in what he does for his patients
Dr Dierckman is extremely knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. When others saw my hip after surgery they could not believe I had surgery. My hip looked as if I had been scratched by a cat in three places. He also has fantastic bedside manner and he spends as much time as you need at each appointment.
The doctor was very personable, explained things, answered all my questions. Only one time did I have a long wait at the doctors office in Porter Ranch.
I went to Dr. Dierckman for my hip. I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia but was unsatisfied with his bedside manner (immediately started talking drastic surgery) and his lack of listening skills. Thank goodness I got a 2nd opinion, because while I do have dip dysplasia, my pain is from my sacroiliac joint being inflammed, which he completely overlooked. I was the second patient my other doctor (Dr. Klapper, well worth waiting to see, btw) had seen that day with complaints about Dr. Dierckman!
Yes, he’s an amazing surgeon and explains the procedure well.
It would be nice if the doctor would do a clinical once in a while, or sometimes just look at the body part, which he often neglects to do. He's very focused on the MRIs, etc., which no doubt give the most important information regarding whether to do surgery, but it feels funny to not have your knee or hip or whatever put through the motions. Even though clinicals always hurt (as they must, to be informative), I think they give information that cannot be gathered from X-rays and MRIs.
Dr. Dierckman is not only an expert in his medical field, but he cares very much about his patients.
