About this business
Many believe that Abe Doumar, founder of Doumar's Cones & Barbecue, gave the world its first ice cream cone. Doumar was a traveling salesman retailing paperweights at the famous St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. When an ice cream seller exhausted his stock of paper dishes to hold the ice creams, he got a nearby waffle maker to roll his waffles into cones and thus invented the waffle cone. love this place, great food, ice cream and atmosphere!
One of my favorites. But on a slow night, we hadn’t received our order after 30 minutes. The carhop seemed to not care at all when questioned.

Absolutely can't miss Doumars! Love their shakes, sandwiches, and of course the cones!
The best in classic BBQ and other sandwiches. You have to come by and see them make the cones - twice per day- on the original cone making machine! Oh yeah, great Limeades as well😬
