We stayed here recently, and were told our room had been upgraded to a suite. It was £199.93 for one night without breakfast. The room we had, didn’t have any heating so two radiators were either side of the bed. The toilet wouldn’t flush. The shower leaked and the shelves In the bathroom were that battered and slanted you couldn’t put anything on them or it would end up in the sink or on the floor. Wonderfully comfortable hotel with helpful, friendly and professional staff. Anna was a great help to my sister and me. My sister and I live in Florda. We chose the Hilton Double Tree on St Maurice St. The hotel is just a few blocks from York City Centre. Our planned trip to the UK included a visit to the City of York. We arrived in York on 3/15/25. Warm cookie at Hilton always lovely the hotel is nice but very limited parking which can be a bit of a pain although I managed to get a spot. The rooms are average size while bathrooms a bit on the small side, very nice though.

We stayed here on Tuesday 25th February for one night for my birthday and had a great experience. Rooms were pristine , service was impeccable and after a tipple and a great evening - the staff were nice enough to help my friend out when she was lost and couldn’t find her room. They even accommodated myself when I couldn’t charge my phone so were kind enough to print out my train ticket QR codes. Overall, a fantastic experience and well worth a stay if you’re in York. 5 stars all around.
