Best place ever for our dog – The staff at the Burnside store is, in a word, AMAZING!!! We have been trying over the past year to find the right fit for our dog. He is high energy and loves to play with anything that moves (dogs, cats, leaves, anything). We brought him in one day for a trial daycare before a four day boarding session. Nothing But The Best For Andy! – My 2 year old golden retriever is VERY special to me. I would never even consider entrusting him to anyone's care without having the utmost confidence in them. I travel once a month for 4-6 days at a time and leave him with the team at Dog & Cat Spa. I have nothing but the highest respect for them. They love Andy and show it each time I leave him there. Here's a Clarification, and addressing the negative reviews – First of all, the user "nosnittpat" should be absolutely ASHAMED of themselves for writing what is obviously a completely FALSE and backstabbing review. Your dog "almost died"? Your dog had a temperature of 106? How about some details, such as your name and the dog's name? That's what I thought... a complete falsehood. We Truly Care!!! – As an employee of the Dog & Cat Spa for over six months, I'm writing in defense to some of these negative comments. We care, from the bottom of our hearts for each and every animal that comes through our door. Whether they're here for grooming, boarding, daycare, or just to shop around, we pay close, special attention to each dog (or cat!) and love them like they are our own! A caring, competent place for our pets – I came in with my dachshund one rainy afternoon and noticed that there were a number of dogs all having fun together. The Dog and Cat Spa immediately felt like a friendly place. They go above and beyond, and the idea of a shuttle service is awesome! – My mother currently has a caregiver who comes to her home often, and we were sort of relying on this person to also take care of her pets. It's something that I myself have tried to do also, but she has 3 cats and a rather high strung terrier, so it can be tough on me as well. They're very attentive to my dog's needs, PLUS they communicate well with customers – I go on business trips at least once or twice a month for my work, and am sometimes away for a week or more. I have tried other daycare facilities, but every time I picked up my dog (A Golden/Lab mix) he seemed a little out of sorts. Rebuttal to DJGustav (the owner's husband) – When I called the Dog and Cat Spa I did give the name of both the doctor at Banfield and the doctor at the Emergency Clinic in Tualatin. I did give my name. Our dog did almost die. There was no response from the facility. Very simple. I am not a disgruntled ex-employee or the relative of one. A super "cat-friendly" place! – I want to start this off by saying that Im a total cat lover, and its been tough to find a place that is as nice to kitties as Dog & Cat spa. I have a persian and a siamese, so theyre both sort of high maintennance cats, but the persian can be a grooming nightmare.
