Easy to get to, the employees genuinely care about the animals – I travel often for work, and was recommended the Milwaukie Dog and Cat Spa by a friend. I have two Schnauzers that I board regularly, but I was really happy to find out about the new location on 24th and Burnside, because that's closer to where I live. The great thing is that the employees genuinely care about the animals. In a conversation with the owner one time, she was really good about telling me which pet foods to avoid, what the best flea treatment for m... read more

A Great Place For Animals And Their People To Grow and Learn – Great Place For My Dogs I have had my dogs at the Dog and Cat Spa for over a year now. The owner has trained my service dog for me, as well she has trained our other dog as well. I am very pleased with the amount of care and time that she took with not only my dog, but with myself also. I am in a wheelchair and need my service dogs help, the owner, and trainer helped me to figure out what would work for me,and my dog. She even got in my chair to see the way I hav... read more

Lots of room for my dogs to run around in the daycare, manager was a good resource – I have two black labs that we brought in to the new location of the Dog & Cat Spa last month after a day at Laurelhurst Park. They were pretty dirty and needed a bath bad. The cool thing was that I was able to use the self groom station at the facility for this. When I had questions about the best shampoo, the manager explained the different options to me very clearly. Lynn at the front desk was also very cordial and I was inspired to book s... read more

Great Professional Service!! – I brought my cat into the spa to be boarded and groomed recently. I loved the service and my cat was very happy. The staff was helpful and professional and my cat looked beautiful! I will certainly be returning to Dog and Cat Spa in future!!

Training a dog for a child with Special needs – I needed training for my thearpy dog to help with a child with special needs. We needed the dog to learn to be calm and loving, so this child could bond with our dog. The owner of the dog and Cat Spa was so patient and helpful in training our dog. Our dog is also in daycare to be socialized with other dogs. She really loves being there and relating with the other dogs. I am very pleased to have grooming, daycare, and training all in one safe and clean location. When I need help... read more

A wonderful grooming and boarding place in town, and convenient, too! – Hey, if you're a disgruntled former employee of this business, now you have more time on your hands to go back to school and get those English and grammar lessons you're obviously so badly in need of. You one time only posters, give me a break. You obviously just have some sort of personal vendetta you need to get over. This is a legitimately good business. You want to find more genuine and un-biased reviews? Why not look at something OTHER than Citysear... read more

STAY AWAY!!! – I just had my dog groomed but only bathed, not cut and it was a horrible experince at this unproffesional place. First of all they are very unfriendly, almost hostile. The owner just grabbed my dog and didn't even ask his name, she seemed annoyed that I didn't want to do it myself. My dog weighs 34 pounds and has long hair so I was told it would cost $25 when I was there the day before. Upon picking him up we were told it was $40!!! for a wash. When I asked why they said it was because he's a large dog with do... read more

Worst of Portland! Never again! – We took our dog for a quick bath simply because the location seemed convenient, but it ended up being the worst experience we've had in Portland. The owner was the one who washed him and was quite disrespectful with our dog since when we can to the back to say good bye he had a ridiculous amount of shampoo over his eyes. It's been over 6 hours and his eyes are still immensely red, which has been the first time this has happened since we've had him. Apart from this the rest of the staff was q... read more

Worse Grooming Ever – I took my yorkshire terrier to the new Dog and Cat Spa on Burnside in Portland. The owner groomed my dog. It was the worse grooming that he has ever received. The hair on his face was not cut evenly, she did not clip all of his nails, did not cut the hair around his butt, and butchered the hair on his ears. He looks horrible. Luckily I got in at Urban Fauna (his regular groomer) due to a cancellation. If you care about what your dog looks like, don't take him there! Additionally, the staff had poor cust... read more
