Went there for lunch on Saturday, must say your onion soup was worth the trip. Did not hear of anything but good things about everyone's meal.
I've been going to Gettysburg for over twenty years and I always eat at The Dobbin House! Whether it's at the Tavern for lunch or the restaurant for dinner it never disappoints!! The food is great and the atmosphere wonderful!! Me my mother, son and fiancee were in Gettysburg for the weekend of October 8&9 2016 and we ate at The Dobbin House twice, once for dinner and once for lunch!! Just amazing!!
Great food and atmosphere. Exactly what we expected.
We love the downstairs pub. The food, atmosphere & service is always excellent! They have the best onion soup in the 4 state area!
Business response:
4 states? How do we expand that? Thank you for your review hope to see you soon!
Some of the best food I have ever had! I recommend the French onion soup and the crab cake sandwich. Took a tour of the house and it was by far the best tour in Gettysburg I have ever been on.
The Dobbin House tavern has been a family tradition for 30 years and it never disappoints. We always eat downstairs "in the cellar" as we call it. The best molasses bread! It's so good that we buy a loaf to take home every time we go. Other must haves: Adam's delight, French onion soup, spit-roasted chicken and the best filet mignon ever! It's a long wait for the downstairs if you don't get there early but it's worth it!
