Took my husband in to the ED for abdominal pain. First they thought it was appendicitis, they got him admitted to the hospital in good time. The staff were all very kind and understanding, listened to and answered all of our questions and concerns. The surgeon was amazing (We got Dr. Watson) and the surgery went well, he explained to me once it was all done, that it was actually something else causing similar symptoms as appendicitis, but everything was fine, and that they would be out for me shortly. I had to stay at Dixie Regional for 8 days for a hip infection. During my stay I met a lot of Nurses, Aids, Dr’s & Techs. Everyone of them was nice, pleasant & kind. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable & taken care of.
I’ve had both of my babies here. The births were easy and a bit fun with the nurses and doctors happy and loving their jobs. My son, born premature, was in the NICU for a week. This was the most stressful week of both of our lives, but the people here made it easy and treated us with love and respect. My daughter was diagnosed with RSV, which caused us to be here to help her breathe and get rehydrated. The Team in the pediatric unit is truly amazing!!! We were in there for 4 days and I cannot say enough good about the hospital staff! They took excellent care of both my baby and me! So grateful to all of them who did their best to make a stressful time as comfortable as it could be!
I wanted to give it a 5 star rating but the fact that there’s a desk in the middle of the emergency room waiting area seems to be a huge HIPPA violation. Who wants to voice their concerns in front of a room full of people, let alone give all their information? It made me very uncomfortable in that respect. The staff was great and went above and beyond!
