Let me say Dr. Kooima is the best Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever dealt with. Have been her patient for over 12 years and always pleased with the care and professionalism she has shown me. Would absolutely recommend her for all orthopedic needs
Dr. Kooima examined me carefully, explained what was wrong and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She was kind and patient and extremely competent. I feel very relieved to have a diagnosis and I know that I am in good hands.

Seemed to know exactly what I needed. She gave me an exercise sheet to use at home and suggested to call in for an appointment with a therapist if needed. She showed me only one of the x-rays taken that day and they took more. I wondered if the others were okay.
Dr Kooima was very nice. She explained everything to me and made sure that she answered all my questions. I didn't have to wait long; and left knowing that she was genuinely concerned about my knee problem. I would definitely recommend her!
I had a problem with my right shoulder hurting for a few months especially when I woke up at night. Dr. Kooima reviewed an x-ray of the shoulder and did a physical exam. She explained the problem she was seeing and gave me a couple of options for treatment. I felt she was thorough, she listened well, and she gave me good advice.
Dr. Kooima is the only ortho I've seen for my knee/leg issue that not only listened to my history and complaints, but was able to get my insurance to approve an MRI without any hassle. THAT IS A FIRST! She also prescribed me some medicine in the interim that is almost a miracle drug for improving my mobility and overall aches/pains until my issue can be identified and addressed. I should have seen her years ago for this problem instead of "living with it" because of insurance.
Dr Koomia is very attentive and is well versed in her field and very nice.
