I was referred to Dr. Yau by my primary care doctor. Dr. Yau was especially informative and courteous. She not only gave me good and complete info about my condition but was considerate with scheduling my lab work and appointments.
Dr. Yau really cares about what your concerns are and is very thorough in detecting cancer. Even after the fact, when you have had full treatment and cleared, she follows up with you if you have any concerns or questions. Soft spoken, caring and one of the best MD's I've dealt with in my 75 years of aging.

I had the same wonderful hematology oncologist for more than 20 years. When he retired I was so worried about continuity of care, and would my new doctor be personable? By going to a difference center, closer to my home, I got to meet Dr. Yau - and to say that she's bright, knowledgeable, capable and personable are understatements! I love having a team of female caregivers in my corner... she's an excellent addition.
Dr. Yau is very knowledgeable and takes the time to communicate the issues very clearly and honestly. She is very patient in insuring that all questions and concerns are addressed. She is very encouraging, caring, and sincerely interested in the patient's well-being.
Dr. Yau was very thorough during her exam. She noted something that needed further examination and sent me for further testing.
Dr. Yau is not only a first-class doctor, but she is also a very caring, compassionate individual. I was diagnosed with CLL a few years ago, and Dr. Yau has been my go-to doctor for my diagnosis. I have to admit, I look forward to seeing her because she always lifts my spirit. I heartily recommend her to anyone who is dealing with a cancer or blood disorder.
