Oh, when you stand there, and it's your turn but none of the assistants can "see" you ... and your bus will be there in a few seconds and if only they would serve you and stop chatting behind the counter, you might catch it ... Then a slice of cake, which looked so good on the stand, is carefully cut inside the marker on the icing, and you get a tiny piece ... and it's dry. Some foods in Costa are so tasty, but selling that was just cheeky. Food: try Colchester Service: same Atmosphere: it's frosty here for some.
All we really want from Costa in Halstead is customer service to match their nice food and drinks, and the prices. When I called in at 3.30 on a Saturday, the lunchtime queues had gone and I thought I could grab my coffee in time for a bus. No-one was at the counter. An assistant emerged from around a corner, and didn't look up. At last I caught her eye and she said, "We're just doing some cleaning at the moment ..."
