Not Recommended – Ongoing Safety and Service Issues I do not recommend Cortland University City as a safe or professionally managed place to live. My experience has been marked by repeated service failures, unresolved maintenance issues, and a concerning lack of accountability from management. For months, the key fob system on my building was broken. Although the door would lock, residents were unable to gain entry using their issued fobs. Verified Renter Used to like living there a lot more. My only complaint was my constantly noisy neighbors above me. Now, however, I have mixed feelings about the place.

Verified Renter In the years I've lived here, there's been a significant decline in the residents, the cleanliness and most importantly, the safety/security! The lack of security on the property, the vast increase in break ins and theft as well as the the lack of concern exhibited by the leasing office will guarantee i don't sign another lease!
Verified Renter The building is full of coackroaches. Appliances are too old. Service requests take time to be resolved.
Verified Renter I was impressed with the maintenance team. The community works on preventive maintenance which makes everything run smoothly. I have never had this experience in my previous residence. I'm really glad they take this approach instead of waiting for maintenance tickets to come in. So far, this has been the most impressive of living here beside of the cleanest community I've seen.
