The ER room waiting is just unreal. Packed with people waiting almost 7 hours to be seen. I waited 5 hours and wasn't gonna wait another 3 even though my chest pain/ breathing troubles continued. I saw elderly patients with tremendous injurys waiting for way more than my 5 hours in the waiting room. Horrible! Also take your estimated 33 min wait time off your site cause that is NOT correct.
You can get rid of the new food service. They do not seem to know what a renal diet is supposed to be. Food when it comes is cold, when questioned about it the person gets defensive as if the patient does not know what they are talking about. Way too much sodium in the food seems like there is no real cooking be done. The residents of this county made a big mistake years ago by not questioning more about Conemaugh being the only provider, there is no one else to go to unless we decide on Windber or Altoona. The “Urgent Care Center” in Richland is a joke!
don't like the hospital at all. ER sucks. Will say thou all the nurses and staff on 9th floor are so nice and amazing. Even if ur cranky lol
RecommendedOverall, I had a good experience. I just recently had my son at Conemaugh. My midwife (Natalie) was absolutely AMAZING and so were the nurses. However, going to the women’s center will never happen again. They overbook and you wait hours after your scheduled appointment. If you have an appointment at 9:15am, you literally need to call off the entire day. Dorethea, the receptionist, is the nastiest old lady ever. She has an attitude from hell. fire management and hire competent people to run it
Nursing staff in ASU and PACU were horrible! Their lack of concern for patient privacy and professionalism is unacceptable. After what I personally experienced and overheard nurses saying in the hallway outside my room, I don't even want to think about how they treat patients when they are under ansethia. I will be contacting the hospital on Monday to give all the specifics; however, after my experience today I am very thankful I scheduled a future surgery with a different hospital. I went and had my son there June of 2018 and had a great experience! The nurses on the OB floor were super friendly and helpful and I never had an issue with the care!
The majority of staff my family and I dealt with was very helpful and nice. there was a certain nurse in ER that should learn some compassion and bed side manner. If you are unable to show some sympathy and patience you should not be in the medical field.
