I Had Back Surgery In 2013 Couldn't Have Ask For Better Care..I Didn't Like,Or Love Being There,But They Made It Much More Bearable....
If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. This hospital is a complete joke. They can't properly diagnose patients or care for them. If you have a loved one that needs to go to the hospital do them a favor and take them somewhere else!
Staff are really good people just stretched entirely too thin. We spent about 20 hours there yesterday and the wait time for care was horrible. My gf has 3 kidney stones and they made her wait for 3+ hours for pain medication. She was in agony. We aren't aren't horrible people who like to complain all the time but we were pretty surprised about all the waiting. The hospital was way better before Duke bought them. Now it's a "Profit" hospital. Chances are we will be going somewhere else for now on.
Wound clinic is the nicest place for care! Love the people there!
I've never had a problem when coming to Conemaugh. Monday morning I had my daughter, I'm able to go to the RICU anytime to visit with her, if I'm in any pain what so ever, I have pain medicine waiting for me. The food is good, the doctors are nice, the nurses are taking great care of my daughter. I wouldn't trust my daughter at a different hospital. I'm very happy with the way my daughter and I are being treated.
I have tons of respect for nurses, but recently I was staying over night with my stepdaughter who recently gave birth. She's a first time young mother. She had asked about her day old son bring washed off because a daylight nurse said they should do it when they check his vitals at night. The evening shift nurses told her if she was that worried about it to ring and ask for the stuff. My stepdaughter didn't know, she's never been a mom before. Worse care for my mom while she was there!!! Most of the nurses didn't follow times to change her bandages and her medicine times!!! She could be better off now if they had!!! Wouldn't ever go here!
