Loud but great!!! – Had dinner Saturday night. We had a great meal. The steak frites was great. We also enjoy the sweat breads. It was cook perfectly. Our server was extremely friendly. It was jam packed in there. It was a lively crowd. Very enjoyable night but extremely loud.
waitress needs to check herself – I dined there last night and although the food was a slight bit above average, the service was a joke. I sat down with my friend and when the waitress came to take our drink order I ordered a nice Rose they had by the glass. The waitress' comment was "you realize it's a very dry Rose" like I thought it was White Zin or something!!! She was so condescending! My friend ordered champagne, she said " Just the house" and proceeded to give her the most expensive one...$17 a glass...we ordered the ... read more
A lot of hot air – I was really excited when Comme Ca opened. I thought to myself "Finally a good French restaurant in LA". Well it's just OK and the price tag for it is way too high.
Poor seating layout & Little on the loud side.... – With a reservation we had to wait which in LA no big deal except for the waiting area is lacking. There was absolutely no place for anyone to stand as the bar was packed and the dinner tables are so close to the bar pratically on top of eachother. The waiters are going back and forth so you feel as if you are in a game of dodgeball with them. Then come to find out we were actually seated at one of those tables right next to the bar. Horrible location as our table kept getti... read more
This is one restaurant you'll be happy to skip... – Oh brother.... Where do I start? This restaurant is train reck. I should have known right away when I made the reservation and was warned by the hostess that I had to be out of my table by a certain time or else... I have never experienced ruder and more arrogant bartenders anywhere ever. My friend ordered a vodka tonic but was chastised by the bartender who apparently doesn't like vodka tonics, "you can get a vodka tonic anywhere, try something different here". O.K., so he... read more
great loud atmosphere!!!! – I was there on wednesday. Had a great meal. The food was amazing. The oyster was amazingly fresh. The sweetbreads was to die for. Service was extremely friendly. Cocktails live up to all its hype!!!! It was loud but we love it. Great fun!!!
loud, slow but cordial service, food lackluster--nothing like sona – this felt like it would live up to the hype...love sona, love french brasseries. unfortunately this left me wondering if the restaurants was some kind of afterthought. entrees were ok, but all other courses were boring and unimaginative. i wanted to like it but left knowing i'd be reverting back to tried and true french fare such as cafe stella in silver lake.
great new restaurant – We were surprised to get a last-minute reservation. When we arrived on time, the hostess told us it would be 10-15 minutes before we could be seated, which we didn't like, but understood because the place was packed. We were actually sat in just a couple minutes and relieved. Our food was great - I had the Frisee Salad with a wonderfully gooey egg and nice thick lardons (that's bacon). My New Zealand Snapper was amazing. While I do really like that very authentic French bistro in Los Feliz, mentioned i... read more
fun ambience, good appetizers, bad entrees, extremely bad desserts – If you go, just order some appetizers, cheese, oysters and drink wine...skip the entrees or the desserts...
