Great Fun – We went there on thursday late. Surprisingly the restaurant was full and lively. We have a great meal. The NY strip was amazing. The cheese plate was the best. Service was very friendly and accomadating.
Great Sunday Brunch – My friend and I were shopping in the Melrose area on a Sunday afternoon and decided to grab a bite. Comme Ca has a nice brunch menu. I ordered the "Croque sandwich de Madam" which was rich and good. My friend ordered the regular scrambled eggs with sausage and home fries. We also had a side of the French fries and it was yummy! Horrible Service/Loud/ Fair Food – I was really looking forward to checking out this restaurant, but it wound up being a HUGE disappointment. We waited over an hour for our food. Not one person checked on us or apologized. When we received the food it was just okay. Nothing special. At the price was outrageous. Furthermore, it was so loud - you really can't go in thinking you can have any sort of conversation. Excellent food and service – I recently had a birthday lunch with 2 friends at Comme Ca and I give this place 5 stars. The food was excellent and the service was quick and professional. If you like a good cocktail, have the Diablo which is a fantastic mix of Tequila, ginger and lime. Comme Ca is a minimalist take on the French bistro which scores high marks in all categories.
Unimpressed – We were really excited to go here after all the buzz. Well, Comme Ca is just "so-so" and possibly even a "no-no." First off, I ordered a carafe of red wine. When it came, the server didn't offer for me to taste it, he just poured a glass. I tried it and thought it tasted off. After another sip -- yup, it really was corked! Gross! Brunch is probably not their forte..... – We had a birthday brunch with some girlfriends last Saturday and though we had a lot if fun, much couldn't be said of the food. All of us felt that our dishes tasted a bit too bland (my hollandaise lacked taste and was scrimped on). Other than the food, though, the interiors are very chic and pretty and the waitstaff attentive. No frills, no attitude. I would probably have to go back for dinner to check out the bistro food.
Bistro Food to die for! – Having lived in Paris for 7 years, I'm always craving the traditional french bistro food. And I finally got to try Comme Ca! This is what I've been waiting for! The traditional french food with no fuss in a fun hangout! The decor is quaint, though a little noisy, it's fun and hip. The service staff was friendly and had many wonderful suggestions. Outstanding Waitstaff – So, I finally got to see what all the hype is about! And I have to say...Not much. The rundown: Wine list- meticulously crafted, Cheese- fab! Plateau- yum! Decent food, overrated – I brought two visitors to Comme Ca for dinner and we were honestly, not impressed. Don't get me wrong, the food was decent, but it was just okay. My friend had the Grand Plateau which was huge but the quality of the seafood was just so so. Oysters were bland and Shrimp were tough. Pasta servings were tiny, almost the size of an appetizer.
