About this business

David Myers' comme Ça presents traditional Parisian brasserie fare in a modern setting. Inspired by the neighborhood restaurants of France, comme Ça offers a lively environment where guests can indulge in French classics such as Steak Frites with Sauce Béarnaise, Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée and Salade Frisée aux Lardons. Selections from the raw bar and unique cheeses from France and America are also available. In addition to comme Ça's four signature drinks, Prohibition-era styl... read more

keep your sanity and $$$ and skip this horrendous experience – I have never felt compelled to take the time to write a review. I read all the reviews prior to making my reservation and thought that all of the negative ones probably were probably written by some older customers.... well I was quite mistaken. The noise level in this restaurant is absolutely deafening to the point that within half and hour, you are ready to quit talking because the muscles in your jaw have gone on strike. Our table for 4 barely held 2 and the c... read more

Great Brunch, Dinner could be better – I've been frequenting Comme Ca since it opened and it's never disappointed. The service may be a little slow at times and the food almost always arrives late. I do however enjoy taking my time and drinking my wine and hate it when the food arrives too soon. The brunch has always been good, especially the steak and eggs, the burgers and the croque monsieur. Dinner hasn't always been a remarkable but still good. The skate is great. Avoid the soul meuniere. ok wine list.

Very good; not a traditional Brasserie – My wife and I ate at Comme Ca on Saturday night and enjoyed it. The restaurant provided a very nice atmosphere, and as transplanted New Yorkers, enjoyed the close seating and actually struck up a conversation with the couple next to us -- which is hard for people in LA to comprehend. The staff was great and service very good. The food was good. Our salads, 1 beet and 1 butter lettuce, were over seasoned (too much salt). My steak frites was fantastic, keeping with a traditional brasser... read more

read the bad reviews carefully... – ...they all sound something like this.."wahhhhhhhhh, 8 of us wanted to go the most popular place in town and the service was slow, wahhhhhhhh...and we didnt like the food either so there! nanny nanny nanny!" note to you idiots: if you want fast service try mcdonalds or a place w/ a "c" grade. you're like people who go to thte hottest nightclub and then complain about the lines and crowds...wahhhhhhhhh! the food at comme is without a dobt the best french in l.a. sit down, shut up and enjoy.

Nice little bistro – What a pleasant surprise! I admit I was a bit nervous eating here. On one hand, the official reviews of this place were pretty good; on the other hand, there were a bunch of mixed reviews complaining about service issues. I was glad, however, to bypass my concerns and give it a try. The bad reviews I read complained about having to wait, even with reservations, the high noise level, and the exorbitant valet. I came in on a Tuesday night and was seated right away. The server was very attentive and immedia... read more

Not Even Close to French Brasserie or Bistrot – It was terribly noisy to dine. I ordered a sole meuniere which was absolutely horrible. It was not even close to what it should be. I have no idea where the chef got an idea to make this, but obviously he never had a real sole meuniere in France. The rolled up fish was floating in a butter sauce!

Way overrated! – As is Sona! and Boule!! Worst chocolates/pastries-the only good thing about it is the packaging which they stole from Vosges (purple) and did in another color (blue). The place is cute for lunch, not interesting for dinner. The best thing about it is the bread. Loud, uncomfortable seating, expensive, ok food. I would not give it any awards or go out of my way.

Comme what??? – I can't really review the restaurant properly because I never actually dined there, but I must inform patrons of my first impression and first experience with the restaurant. My party of 9 had reservations several weeks in advance to celebrate a very important birthday. (The "organizer" of our party is a very loyal patron of Sona, and it's his favorite restaurant in the city). 10 minutes before our reservation time at Comme Ca Saturday night, we called the restaurant to make sure our reservation was running o... read more

Sophomore Slump – Let me say off the bat that I am a huge fan of David Meyers. Sona is a restaurant that thrives on an out-of-this-world menu, tremendous service (a rarity in this city), and a phenomenal wine-list. I was very excited about this restaurant. I had read that the service suffered from some opening jitters, but figured that would have been worked out by now. Sadly, this was the worst dining experience from a service perspective I have had in this city. When making the reservation, I was put on hold no fewer for f... read more
