David Myers' comme Ça presents traditional Parisian brasserie fare in a modern setting. Inspired by the neighborhood restaurants of France, comme Ça offers a lively environment where guests can indulge in French classics such as Steak Frites with Sauce Béarnaise, Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée and Salade Frisée aux Lardons. Selections from the raw bar and unique cheeses from France and America are also available. In addition to comme Ça's four signature drinks, Prohibition-era styl... read more

I was not very luck with my choice! – my husband and I took two out of town relatives to commeca last night. I had heard about the place from friends and read a review. I figured it will be pretty good, something like anisste in Santa Monica, a true brasserie. We had made reservations for seven P.M. and I must admit we got seated right away at a not very desirable table. There were probabley five other occupied tables at the time!!!! There were two warm small baguettes on the table which were impossible to cut, since they ha... read more
THE MIX DRINKS ARE MADE FROM SCRATCH, THAT'S WHY IT TAKES SO LONG KIDS – My fav French Resto in LA. Inventive menu with great brasserie staples. This is real food thatdoesnt need a designer space to make up for it like most LA restaurants. I love this place. Yes, the drinks take forever but they are MADE FROM SCRATCH like your meal. A wiskey sour actually involves making the sour mix from scratch etc etc. If you're not happy you're welcome to go get a Mudslide at TGI Friday's.
A little French comfort – Comme Ca has easily become a new favorite. Making a reservation was easy through opentable, even for a Friday night only one week in advance. Since I'm cheap and usually try to avoid the valet, I knew finding parking on Melrose wouldn't be easy. Luckily, I found a spot right away, so I was already in a good mood. After being seated, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. They kept checking on us while we browsed the placemat menu and attempted to translate the wine list. We started with the... read more
Surprisingly Kid Friendly! – I was shocked when a friend told me that Comme Ca was a good place to go with kids since its seems a bit too on the fancy side. Lo and behold, they loved our little one (but who doesn't?) and were extra accomodating to her love of salt and pepper shakers. Go figure. Before you start breaking out the booster seats though, be forewarned this aint no Chuck E. Cheese. Its a great upscale bistro with upscale prices and fare for baby foodies, not finicky toddlers. All in all, a rare LA treat.
I really wanted to like it.... – In the last month we have gone to Comme Ca twice. I have to agree with the comments of the other low ratings. Each time I ordered a drink and had to wait over a half hour for it. Once the drink did not come until I was 1/2 way through my meal...and had canceled the order: they charged me for it anyway. The second time we went there they served 3 of us and the 4th person had to wait another 15 minutes for their grilled cheese (although another at the table ordered the same thing....I guess the... read more
I agree with the last review!!!!!!!!!!! – I enjoy the atmosphere at comme ca or to say the decor. The rest is a joke. Drinks took 25 minutes to get. The drinks were good but we were so annoyed that it does not matter especially at $14 a drink. I know that you have to wait for a great product which I understand but come on. If you cannot execute something properly, stick to gin and tonic. Over zealous and cannot deliver in the bar and now on the subject of food. Food does definitely deliver the french brasserie experience. To... read more
it was bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – Funny thing. In town on business and clients brought me here tonight. Second night in a row to have dinner at comme ca. This time not only a repeat of bad service and long drink time during non peak time. The food also took a long time to get to the table. The food was not the same as the night before. It was overly salted on this occasion. We were curious to see if Chef David was in the kitchen because we wanted to say hello. Why I am not sure. I think it was because our clients wanted to meet hi... read more
Best restaurant in town – My husband took me to Comme Ca for our anniversary last week and it was absolutely amazing. We were sat on very romantic small round table in the front corner in this stylish but comfortable space. Our waitress "Wanda" was great in explaining the ins and outs of the menu and she guides us through to create our own tasting menu. We brought our wine from our cellar and sommerlier was gracious and helpful in decanting the wine and servicing our wine throughout the night. We tried Moules frites, roasted... read more
