I called Blue Dot to come out and repair or replace a learning thermostat for my 86 year old mom on a hot August Friday they came out charged us there $85 service charge and then looked at the system, they came back and told us the whole system needed to be replaced and that he couldn't fix the thermostat, I told him to send someone out that could repair it. Next person came wanted to price the system, I told him to leave and send a repair person that could help, that was the last we heard from Blue Dot. My mother suffered t... read more

Though they found that a switch was indirectly comnected to furnace circuit and was off, they did not tell me the cost upfront and just fit the effort to track wiring to a high cost repair category. Also, they were supposed to adjust diagnostic fee against the total repair cost, as all such vendors do, and the refused to do so.

Do NOT call them for anything! I've used them for plumbing and a/c/heating and I am so dissatisfied. I wrote my review for both plumbing and a/c. The plumbing issue I had was a blockage that affected my kitchen and my washing machine. In the kitchen we were constantly snaking the pipe and it would only last for a week and then get backed up again and we had to re-pipe the hose to the washing machine or it would flood the house and garage, none of that being their fault but that's why we called them. ARS lies to their customers and employees on a daily basis. Forcing installation when the work can wait to the following day. They have dispatchers selling equipment when they are not certified to do so. They have no concern for the safety of their employees sending them into situations that cause permanent health damage. I would never recommend this company to work for them or to do business with them. Upper management is taking away business from the company as well and pocketing money on the side.
