Quote for work astronomical! Quote through HomeDepot referral to install a new Heat Pump Water Heater. The Heat Pump Water Heater cost $1349 at Home Depot. The installation is looks easy, cut a few pipes and reinstall. Brother's quote for the job was $4300 plus tax. Even if it took 2 hours of work that equates to ~$1500/hr in labor and overhead. Watch out for quotes like this. We found a local plumber that quoted just over $200 to install. We will go buy the unit.
Net-net, this company is the epitome of what a scam is. These guys not only try to shove a new AC down your throat but also first sabotage your existing AC unit first in the name of an inspection! I had never done an AC health check before, I decided to have one done when a person approached me at Home Depot. I agreed to a $20 health check. Amber showed up on time for our heating maintenance service. After working on 2 units, she then took her time to explain all she did. Maintenance work time was just a bit over an hour. And left with some recommendations. Good job Amber.
I had a very good experience with brothers plumbing and my service plumber Cvetan C****. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and was able to figure out our problem with our tankless hot water heater. He was very considerate in wearing his mask the whole time inside the house and covered his shoes as well. I would definitely use brothers plumbing again when we have plumbing issues.
On 01/20/21 Brothers Air & Heat performed a maintenance check on my furnace. Shawn, the HVAC technician, was excellent--professional and knowledgeable. I was especially appreciative of his willingness and patience in answering my questions and explaining things about my systems that I had not understood. Thank you Shawn and Brothers.
