client Sadly, we had to spend a lot of time at Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic last week, but I wanted to say they are absolutely amazing <3 We have dealt with other emergency clinics and had horrible experiences so we were bracing ourselves for the worst. The entire staff was so nice and compassionate. Both vets, Dr. Maddox and Dr. Quinlan, we saw were wonderful! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
They SAVED my baby On 7/23/10, my 6 lb toy poodle Tarie was viciously attacked by my neighbors dog. She had to have emergency surgery @ another hospital but I had to transfer her the next day to Cobb Emergency. The doctor (Dr Lombardi) was upfront w/me about the severity of her injuries & that their costs were expensive but that they would do a thorough examination & she would get the best care. The next day, I was told that Tarie may not make it & that the next 72 hrs were very critical. Needless to say, Tarie made it thru ... read more
It's all about the $$ Dr. Maddux - vet with an attitude! Took my dog in on a Sunday night as I thought he might have a UTI. They put in a catheter to obtain a urine specimen but lab showed no infection. Dr. Maddux suggested it might be a kidney stone and wanted to do xrays and ultrasound. When I told her we would take our dog to his regular vet the following morning Dr. Maddux developed a real attitude. She made certain to tell us that she was busy so we should be prepared to wait since it was going to take her a while to co... read more
Dr Kevorkians of Emergency Veterinary Clinics These people try to tell you what they THINK is wrong with your pet. Something is very wrong at this place. If you love your pet, take it to a real vet Stay away from Cobb or Cherokee Clinics. I know from experience..they are quacks,if they can't figure out whats wrong with your pet they try to convince you to euthinize it. Don't!!! There are Dr's out there that can help!! One dr. there tried to convince me to put down a perfectly heathly pet because she was lethargic..because th... read more
Cobb Emergency Vet is a wonderful service! Let me first say that as a person that deals with a lot of emergencies daily, I am appalled at the ridiculous comments some people make about emergency vets. These poor people are worked to death and woefully under-paid to deal with people that yell at them b/c they can't pay their bills when their pet gets sick. I have never had an unfavorable experience with Cobb ER and they are wonderful. It is a policy in every vet clinic I have ever been that everyone gets an estimate and pays ... read more
Compassionate and excellent care My heart goes out to the writers of the unfavorable reviews....It is so hard when your pet, who is like your child is, sick and does not make it..Unlike them, I have had excellent care and compassion from the Cobb location . On Jan 20, I brought my cocker mix to this hospital when I noticed her gums were pale and she was not eating very well. They took her back right away, did some tests, and immediately diagnosed her with Immune mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA), something that cockers are pr... read more
The place to take your pet to die Went to Cherokee Clinic on Sunday March 25, 2012 My dog walked in alive at 10:30am and I carried her out dead 4 hours later. They delayed treating her because they felt more important cases came along. Twice they sent me home saying they would run blood. I turned my loving companion over to them not saying goodbye thinking I would have her back in 20 minutes never saw her alive again. they will not allow owners back there. My precious love died alone without me because of their careless, inh... read more
Not Satisfied with Vet Knowledge My dog was having what I now know as a cluster seizure. However, an emergency evening visit to this vet and $700 later- yes, $700 for 'analysis tests,' they were never able to diagnose her. In fact, they were 'dumbfounded' at the mystery that I later figured out myself. I wish there was a 24 hour vet that did not profit off of responsible pet owners' desperation.
The Worst Throughout my life I have received excellent service and not so excellent service but no business as ever come even as close to under delivering like CobbEVC. I take reviews online with a grain of salt but our experience truly was horrible. They did not kill my pet; however, they did nothing correctly and I feel they jeopardized her health. I will not go into details as I could write a novel and all it is going to do is re-hatch months of frustration, hurt, and heated discussions with family. From the actual surger... read more
