Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic Killed my Black Lab. Without a doubt. They were busy that night. January 21 2008 around 10 pm. I took Otis in because of vomiting and worrying about him dehydrating. First they had us wait..then the "doctor" came in and told us we should put him down he's "old". Otis was 13.(I lost a 15 year old lab to cancer a few years ago) I had 2 estimates for tests, then 1 for treatment, then asked to pay before they could do anything. Meanwhile Otis lay back there somewhere dehydrating, and in pain for o... read more
Kevin "Give me your credit card or your dog is going to die." Horrible experience. Pressured into paying for treatment "estimates" that increase rapidly with no explanation. The way they talk to you is unbelievable. I don't know how they sleep at night. It's like a terrible scam where the bargaining chip is your dog's life.
First Class All the Way! What an incredible service Cobb Emergency Vet provides to our furry friends! Our dog Tori ingested a piece of raw chicken and we were worried about salmonella, e-coli, etc. So we gave them a call and asked for their advice on what we should do. The lady who answered the phone was so friendly and helpful and put me on hold to go ask one of the Doctors at the vet. The Doctor gave us great advice (a remedy we could do at home to make her regurgitate the chicken - didn't involve bringing her in). The lad... read more
DON'T BRING YOUR PET HERE! I wish I could give no stars or minus stars We brought our beloved kitty here yesterday, had I read the horrible reviews I would have never brought our pet here! We brought her to have care We brought her home... dead! With an outrageous bill of over $800 and no explanation as to why she arrested and later died. Allison Maddox is Heartless!!!! The only thing this place cares about is taking your money. They will not even tell you why your pet died!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$$$$, no understanding of informed consent I would stay away from this place like the plague. If I could put a negative star, I would. A call to a vet technician tonight confirmed my suspicion: we were taken for a ride when we took our ill cat to CEVC. All of the reviews below saying this clinic preys on those in a bad situation and fails to give adequate informed consent about the most humane AND economical solutions... those are dead on. My elderly mother brought her cat in yesterday. Told that her temp indicated the cat w... read more
Cobb Emergency Vet Clinic/Would not recommend!!! My girlfriend and I arrived at the clinic with our dog, who was having a seizure. After about 30 minutes, the vet told us that our pet was doing good after an injection of anti-seizure meds, and that his temperature had stabilised. He told us that he needed to keep our dog for 36 hours, and that it would cost $1500.00 to keep him supervised, and give him medical care. We were told that our pet had a really good chance of recovering. The price made us wince, but we were told th... read more
yuck My cat became ill due to the ingestion of a weeping fig (ficus) while in the care of my friend. My friend brought the cat in after she had vomited multiple times & began drooling excessively. She expressed her concern to me many times, saying that she believed eating the plant is what made my cat ill. She also said she explicitly said this many times while in the vet's office. Apparently, however, she was brushed off and the cat was treated for another diagnosis ("stress; change of diet") and was sent home. However, the... read more
So glad Cherokee EVC was there Recently I took my 17 year old cat Coquie to the Cherokee Emergency vet clinic. He's been in renal failure for quite awhile and had a bad reaction to a med my regular vet had given to help his appetite and calm his nighttime vocalizing. This one visit with Dr. Quinlan and staff seemed to do more for him than several months of care at a regular clinic! The staff could give regular clinics lessons on how to treat clients, and this at an emergency clinic where the stress level is no doubt much hig... read more
