The salesman was excellent in selling our dream home to us. He reassured numerous times how they would take care of us whenever we needed service. Our purchased home arrived last June 2024 with two missing window screens and a cracked window. I reported via email to my sales person, the cracked window didn't get replaced until January 22,2025. Purchased a Clayton home in 2018 which we moved into in 2019. The care they put into there product isn't much as here we are almost just at 6 years and due to incorrect grading when installing foundation and the home we have water 3 inches all under our home, we have a foundation that is sinking causing the support piers to lean that will eventually fall over. Clayton homes are horrible and negligible at best. They took a deposit on a home, which according to Corp office, they aren't allowed to do. They sold out house out from Underneath us, and tried to say they didn't. Our home was a disaster when set up, and after allowing their service techs to come in and repair things, but they always had to come back, always left a mess, and things were never really fixed. A very incompetent sales group of inexperienced individuals at Clayton Homes of Rodgersville, AL. They are not trained in the element of customer orientation. They do not know how to sell a customer when looking for a home. We were approached by young salesman who did not bother to give us his name. We bought a new mobile home in September of 2024. It is now January of 2025. We can still see daylight through the doors that don’t shut. My bathroom still has no heat. They have done very little to nothing to help us out. Don’t bother calling the main headquarters because they are of no help. My advice would be not to buy a home from Clayton’s Mobile Home lot. I just moved in my home in June 2024. There are so many issues that I have contacted Clayton homes in Roanoke rapids nc and all they do is schedule a date for someone to come out but they never show up. When I call them back, they make excuses saying the service guy is either behind or is out sick. My electric bill is higher than normal due to having cold air coming thru my vent over my stove. Bought my home in June 2023. Had nothing but problems from the day it was delivered. The water was cut on the next day which ultimately lead to flooding from my spare bedroom closet where the water heater was all the way through spare bathroom, and eventually to my living room when we finally noticed. Not only this but the entire underbelly of my mobile home was flooded. It had to be replaced the next week. My spare closet walls had to be replaced. I purchased a home from the Lumberton Tx Clayton homes. The first impression I received was really great up until it was time for me to sign the closing documents. They had added extra cost to the total loan that was agreed on. When I caught the error they tried to make it as if I did not know what I was talking about. When I refused to sign the paperwork the salesmen went in the office and discussed the cost again and discovered the error. We worked with their Jackson, TN store. At the beginning they appear to be great to work with. However, after signing a contract well over 5 months ago and paying them in full - nearly $200k - that appearance is not reality as now the home still isn't done, they won't give me keys to the home on my property "until they get it done", and the communication gets worse and less frequent.
