When I bought my home the tubs faucet was loose and would pull away from the tub wall. I told them about it asking if they could come caulk around it and was told those tubs do not need caulking. It's been 4 years of living in this home and now there is water damage. Buying our Clayton Home has been nothing short of a nightmare that is on loop. Throughout the process there have been some helpful folks, but in short, we have been going back and forth with the dealership and the manufacturer passing the buck for almost a year! We closed on the house in December of 2024 and have still not moved in because the work has not been done to our satisfaction. I would never recommend buying a home from Clayton home of Buchanan West Virginia,.. We paid cash for our home we had to pay the total amount up front, we could not hold 10% back until repairs wear done to finish paying for the house. One of the workers told us they would drag their feet on getting the repairs fixed because they had their money… Boy was he not kidding, they had their money and did not want to come fix the repairs and has been a fight every day since. I have dealt with multiple water leaks that has lead to mold in my home, a defective manufacturing shut-off valve that caused flooding in my laundry room and kitchen. The roof is faulty and has lead to many leaks and stained ceilings. The siding has fallen off the home many times. I contacted the company before the warrenty expired, but no response until the warrenty was expired and they charged my home owners insurance. We purchased the boujee XL built by Clayton homes and have been in our home less than a year within a month we begin to notice mold, cracks in house, our electrical box holds water, floors are rotting. Had a very underwhelming experience at the Lakeland location in FL. My daughter and I were excited to view homes as it was our first time purchasing a home after renting my whole life. I drove an hour to this place for ******* to greet me with confusion and ask why I was there and who I spoke to. Then she knew who I was when I told her my name and gave me a weak handshake. My father is in his 60s paying on the loan for his home (currently on the property) and rent because he cannot gain occupancy. The manufacture needs to come out and fix the home (under warranty and was advised beginning of August.) before his porch stairs are built. In order to gain occupancy of his home, he needs the steps built. He was advised the repairs on his NEW home will not be done until the end of October. Is this how we treat our senior citizens? I wish I could give Clayton Homes of Dublin, Georgia a -10 rating. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had and have never met a more despicable and underhanded sales team in my life; mainly ******** *** ****. My daughter bought a home to put on my property where we share a well. The plumber that Clayton's subcontracted refused to listen to me or my brother when we spoke with them in regards to where they needed to come into the wellhouse to connect to the well.
