Waiting 5 hours to be told I would have to wait 4 more hours to actually see a doctor. My 9 month had not ate for 36 hours and apparently that is not a major issue. Absolute garbage of an emergency room.
Dr. Dudgeon is amazing. The other doctors we have seen are excellent as well.
For a children's hospital going to ER should be a comfortable experience since you are visiting under somewhat stressful emotions. Our local pediatrician referred us to the Children's Hospital for our son's and daughters illness this was our 1st visit there. We waited 7hrs with out being provided a diagnosis nor any answers concerning our children. There was no communication on seeing a doctor either just waiting and more waiting. Children's of Alabama is the best hospital in the world. The staff is excellent. They are patient and kind, and never talk down to patients or guests. The doctors literally saved my neice's life. We are so fortunate to have a world-class hospital right here in Alabama.
My son was treating in the ED for a head injury at Children's. We received excellent care. Dr. Richard was very attentive and did a great job explaining everything to us. I'm thankful we were able to be treated there rather than any other hospital. Keep up the good work.
