The level of care we received was amazing. Every single staff member made my daughter feel so comfortable and cared about. They interacted with her and explained everything. They were also very respectful of her being in charge of her own body and let her do as much as they could let her do herself. I was also talked through everything and kept well informed. They didn’t just check on my daughter but on me as well and were so kind. I just went through the scariest thing with my child and I am SO glad Children’s is so close b... read more

Doctor and Katrina Wilson has been seeing my children for 26 years and now sees my grandchildren. We love her and we also love Pediatrics East. The Deerfoot and the Trussville locations are both excellent. I would highly recommend. Any of the Physicians there!

i don’t live in alabama and i have never been to children’s in alabama but i will say that i’ve learned more about two of my most recent diagnoses in 24 hours by on staff sleep specialists and pulmonologists than by any of the countless doctors i’ve seen locally (and by locally i’m including dallas/college station) the university of alabama at birmingham and children’s of alabama work so hard to be more than a prescription specialist-they care about the people they are diagnosing and treating to the point of extensive resear... read more

3 year old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and we were there for 3 days. Everyone was very kind, helpful and made her feel loved!

We had to get blood work done for my daughter (11) after some preliminary work came back abnormal at her annual well-visit. She was really scared. We all were. The doctor and nurses were so sweet to her. Though she had blood drawn from her arm for the first time, and even though it hurt and she was so brave, they were very comforting to her, and she walked away from the experience saying it was the best hospital visit she could hope for. And all of her test results came back normal, so it was a great day!
