My 3 yr old and myself was transported over the mountain to come here. Best decision ever this hospital is AweS0me!!! They say and do reAlly care for kids. My son's breathing was very labored and he wasn't himself. They were around clock care and the understanding of children just amazed me. If my son for any reason needs a hospital again I'll drive the 62 miles . Just want to say Thank you so much 3rd floor nurses and Drs Rock y'all are AweS0me
We took our little guy in for what we found out was a stomach bug. When your 3 year old is vomiting consistently for a good amount of time, I'm sure any parent would go to the ends of earth to make it stop. We drove an extra 25 minutes with all 3 kids in tow at 10:30pm and TC Thompson would so accommodating. They checked repeatedly on my little sick one and offered my other children everything but a ribeye:) we waited just a little bit but that's anywhere. It was well worth the wait---EVEN called me today to check on him!
I came in right at 6 o'clock with my son due to a high fever and vomiting all day without any wet diapers since the night before. We didn't wait long to get back to triage, or even then to a room. We waiting maybe 15 minutes cause they were busy. I'm not even mad about that. But we were stuck in the extended stay/ overflow room. The NP was in there quick enough and was extremely helpful. Excellent care the second time first time wasn't as good
This place used to be one of the best places to take a sick or injured child. They have really gone down hill. Waiting almost 24 hrs with my child with a broken arm because a resident didn't schedule surgery with the orthopedic surgeon. That's disgusting. Then on top of that the reception desk is a complete disorganized mess. They wouldn't even validate my parking pass after I spent all night in their waiting room.
