Gorgeous veiw of downtown Chicago I loved my stay . Hotel management was very Pleasant my sister and i did have one minor issue we couldn't get in our room door was stuck when we first tryed too then security came up to help us get in our room it was working okay til our brother came to meet us we couldn't open our door to let him in we were stuck in our room called the front desk and security came up and he couldn't open it with key so he had to use his key. My wife was the victim of a purse theft on Saturday 4/8 in the bar of the Chicago Downtown Marriott during a professional conference. Can't blame the hotel for that. It happens. However, their response to the situation should concern women considering this hotel. The theft happened in a narrow 18 minute window. They had the information they needed to help. For 2.5 hours, they kept telling us they were "going through processes" and gave us no support, no information and any empathy for a woman who just had her personal inform... read more

The common area are nice and the location is excellent. I had an old room that was very much in need of a renovation. Ask for a renovated room when you check in

Hotel room was clean. However for a space newly remodeled, you could tell how uneven the floors were. Also, only supplying 3 towels in a double room?! The service staff at the conference we attended was average...expected MUCH more at a hotel of this level. Restaurant was also average...again, expected more. I'd check out other hotels before booking this one...I will say the room service options were sub par...and no "regular" breakfast offered from room service.
This is a top notch hotel where my conference is being held. The meeting rooms are great with excellent audio and visual systems. Everything an attendee needs is right here. An added value is the Lobby Bar, an ideal lounge to unwind after a full day of conferences . Ideal location. I am a local who is taking public transportation every day and the location is the best ever!
Nice and simple room. Not sure why you'd pay over $200 a night. The bar soap smells gross and contains sodium tallowate... but nothing real special it seemed.

Clean rooms but service was horrible. The valet/parking employees verbally accosted me multiple times because they couldn't figure out how to start a factory standard 2010 Ford Escape. While attempting to retrieve my car after check-out the parking employee screamed at me in front of multiple guests also waiting for their cars then made me (a single woman) walk with him alone to the garage where I was able to start my factory standard vehicle without any issue.
