I am so displeased with Chase as a bank. I have had repeated issues with my bank card. From not only having my card shut off from usage in my own city to pay for parking while having a long line behind me but also the chip on a fairly new card not working. Also, I’ve had my card hacked a couple of times afterwards in which I’m going on week two with no bank card and all of my bill payments have been declined costing me even more fees. On June 13, I received an email promising $300 if I opened a checking account with them and had a direct deposit of a paycheck over $500. The email said the $300 would be credited within 10 business days. The email contained a cllickable button that claimed the code for the bonus would be automatically applied. On July 1 I met the requirements for the deposit. On July 17 I contacted them because the bonus had not been applied. Chase has been good to me in all regards besides the issue I'm currently trying to solve with them which is that some of their marketing materials that I believe were misleading. Additionally, the lack of? records maintained for their marketing materials to resolve this is concerning as well.

Had one last name as I opened account. Got married. Changed name but not on bank account. That was not a problem. I could still add or withdraw money even though account said my maiden name. Just got divorced and don't have ID changed back to maiden name yet. I took my federal government ID that shows maiden name and that wasn't good enough. THEY are KEEPING MY MONEY HOSTAGE FROM ME. DON'T BANK THERE

Chase has terrible customer service and even if it’s their fault will leave you with no way to access your money.

If I could give negative stars I would. Chase has become the epitome of lazy customer service, digitized & automated theft and why big corporate banks run by overpaid CEOs are destroying the banking industry. Multiple times Chase has tried to process old cancelled ACHs that I did not authorize. Of course when these automatic electronic checks don't go through they then charge me $34. I've racked up over $300 in fees due to this and Chase won't credit me the funds back and they say there limit to excuse fees is $135 a year, r... read more

First, I opened my account online, only to receive the $200 promotion (after your accunt has a direct deposit) to keep my account open for 6 months. My first check wasn't set up for a direct deposit. When I went into the branch to cash my check (which was a ***** *****business issued check) I was advised that Chase would have to hold my check for a few days and could only give me $100.00 until the check cleared.
