Waiting for over 3 hours in ER is ridiculous!

I waited 15 minutes before being seen and I was having bad chest pains I’ll spend hundreds of dollars in health insurance before coming back to this place ever again they are going to kill someone one of these days because of there recklessness

They could actually do their jobs, for the money and effort we give their organization, it would only be fair. Before dealing with the Central Texas VA Healthcare System, I didn't understand why a fellow vet would ever commit suicide in the lobby of a hospital. After dealing with them, I get it.

Contrary to their current philosophy, sending people away to die is NOT the way to fix the VA. My brother in law is there for a pacemaker replacement. He was told by the VA that he needed one as his current one is failing. They did something to it and said he was good for about 2 weeks. Scheduled to replace last week and VA called and cancelled. Now it’s been two weeks and they are saying they are turning down the replacement.

They examined my husband thoroughly, took 7 vials of blood, UA was, CT scan, chest x-ray and EKG was done, they also gave him IV pain and nausea medication along with a liter of IV fluid in the ER and he was sent home with pain and nausea medication. All was done in a time frame of 6 hours. I am thankful my husband is a veteran and thankful for the excellent care he received at the Temple VA hospital. I have never had so many problems dealing with the VA since being a patient here. They have thoroughly continued to make my life hell! If you can help it, save yourself the nightmare! I wouldn’t wish the kinds of issues I’ve received on anyone..to clarify I go to the cedar park clinic but it falls under central texas VA
