I just got out of surgery there and everyone from start to finish was so lovely and helpful! Except maybe the X-ray tech that was kind of cold hearted 😂. Everyone was just wonderful and calmed my nerves. The doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, clerks, everyone... was great! Thank you all so very very much!!

My husband check in at 3pm today and waited 4 hours before even getting called back. He went there because he had a mole removed from his back about a month ago that never healed. Once the stitches were removed from his back, the wound slowly started opening back up with an infection. I forced my husband to see a doctor at Scott and White where they discovered thread like stitches being pushed out. I usually go to Austin but recently was referred to Temple since Austin is so full for anything specialty related. That one experience was great so far but last night I desperately needed the ER. Trying to avoid possible medical bills we drove the 40-45 mins last night to Temple. I wasn't expecting anything outstanding in the least but I was pleasantly surprised. A combat wounded veteran friend of mine has been subjected to the worst treatment ever because of this VA. Policies have been written to cover his case and then those policies were lost. How pathetic do you have to be to screw a combat wounded service member over.

Temple VA sucks. Just went to see my doctor and because HE made a mistake when referring me outside va for care, the doc is acting pissed at me! He didn't do the consult correctly, which forced me to go back in to see him, since we could not get it straightened out on the my healthy vet website. Then he gets all huffy bc I called him out on his mistake, and now acts like I just need to get another doctor! Like it's my fault!! What a bunch of unprofessional idiots!! DO NOT GO TO TEMPLE VA! THEY TREAT YOU LIKE SHIT!

All though we have made great progress over the years, been going there for over 20 years now, there is still room for improvement in some areas. Love my VA!!! The doctors and nurses have been awesome, however some still need retraining in bedside manners and learning to listen to their patients. They may think they know our bodies, but we know our bodies better than anyone. So please listen more intently. Especially the rotational interns, y’all may actually learn something.
