I've had two separate emergency situations at VA - the first, Orthopedics SUCKS, came in a wheel chair & left in a wheelchair with no MRI, had private Dr do MRI and handled appropriately thru private insurance for service related disability --- the second was Opthamology, true professionals and excellent service and follow-up
The lab people got me in and out, before my appointment time. The doctor area was able to get me in and got an EKG done immediately. I have no complaints. Dr. Listened to my concerns and addressed them. Thanks for the caring attitude of the facility.
My experience regarding my late husband's care at VA Temple was anything BUT stellar. Hero's Haven was anything BUT. Care and compassion were non-existent except for a handful of staff. I could write a book............
I walked in, was seen very quickly, found out what the surgeon wants to do. Then I went to transfer from Austin OC to Temple. The process had some kinks in it, but I think I got it done. The facility itself is not easy to navigate. Not well thought out at all.
