I've never had a problem at the VA. I go in, expecting to be there at least an hour, and I'm usually out within 30 minutes. The staff is very helpful and know how to get you to where you want to be. All in all, good service!
I appreciate the hell out of the fact the VA exists and my family members can get care. But the waits at every step of the process (ER assessment, going for tests, discharge, filling medication), it's just excessive. Understaffed, I know. But we have to be able to do this better.
I had 5 operations at this va the most recent was 3/28 no problems treating me with total respect. Been using va temples for 25 years and never had a problem with appointments or schedule. Grant you something go wrong I can tell you horrible stories about Scott and white and murder plex. Some people just like to complain. Remember if there is something wrong they are there yet we all know the people trying to get something that not wrong "playing the system ". God bless our veterans and thank you for your service
the biggest nightmare is the scheduling!! Hubby has to have a driver so he schedules appointments when I can drive him--I work. Out of the blue he is regularly rescheduled BY LETTER!! on a day I cannot take him. He is currently in the works for the Veterans Choice to get an exam from the Retina specialist. over 90 days and 2 cancelled appointments. Still no appointment but they say it may take 10 days for the VA to send the referral. Care when you can get it is excellent.
I have received nothing less than stellar care at the Central Texas VA Health Care System.
I didn't know where something was. I asked several people, and I got several different answers. Come on people.
