The food is excellent and the top in DFW. However! You used to be able to go there for your hr long lunch break and get in and out in a bout 30-45 mins if you got there early enough. Be prepared to wait at least a good 1-2 hrs in line now because people are starting to line up at 8:30AM two hours before the doors open. So everyone that used to go on their lunch breaks.....say goodbye to Cattleack's BBQ now unless they expand their operating hours or size. Such a shame.

Good BBQ. Burnt end beans and collard greens are great! Spare ribs and jalapeño cheese also very good. My wife thought everything was too peppery ( and she likes pepper) next time I'll try the crack cake that looked so good. You've heard of the soup nazi from Seinfeld? Well this guy is the BBQ nazi and needs to work on his people skills. He has a stop sign in line and you have to wait for him to call you over to place your order and you better by God know what you want or he will get a little snippy. Worth the wait. Very goo... read more

Stop #5 on my Texas Monthly tour definitely wins for the coolest name! First place on the Texas Monthly list that I had to wait in a substantial line...got there at 10:45am and still an hour long wait. Was it worth it? Hell yes! This is the best beef rib out there so far IMO...meat falls right off the bone. Brisket was about as tender and juicy as it gets and it had an outstanding peppery bark....jalapeño cheddar sausage currently ranks in my top 3. Just plain bad ass BBQ at this joint!
