I would have given Casteel a better review if after our tune up we didn't find one of our large shrubs located right next to the outside unit broken extensively. It's a shame. ... bad customer service!!!
New HVAC system installed last Monday (took over 11 hours), still had to come back to install the thermostat. Installer did not wear a mask either. But the best part is the flooding and damage that occurred 4 days later from not flushing out the condenser tubes. My house is a mess. Drywall removed, rug pad removed,total mess in my house. Still waiting for the repairs to happen. Huge disappointment. The number one reason why I went with Casteel is “that their installation is first class” with superior customer service. Ha!
Do NOT trust Casteel. I told them that I needed an inspection done on my system, including all checklist items that I would need looked at. They agreed and showed up- turns out they do not even do inspections, and they charged me for a tune up. I paid for absolutely nothing and now need to have another company come out to do what Casteel agreed to do. They are liars and scam artists. Do not use them. (Note: the techs were very nice)

Had a technician come for a man HVAC service call on July 17th. Super polite and professional. We knew the cause prior to his arrival, but was still told we had to pay the $83 diagnosis fee on top of the $89 service call. Fine I paid it. Was told someone from service would call back with a quote later that day or the next and tech would also follow up. Casteel came out today to put in a new system. It is NOT working and they say they can’t get anyone to come out until Tuesday. $4000 and I have to wait for service on something NEW just put in today? Are you serious!!!
I took advantage of a Casteel promotion for A/C service check for $49 each for two units. Technician advised me that one unit had a bad thermostatic expansion valve which was a warranty item for parts only. Never got a service report, repair estimate or promised restaurant gift card. Left messages on line and personally spoke with agent numerous times to no avail. Finally after one month I got an estimate of $1,269 with a promise of a 20% discount. My husband an I used Casteel to replace our downstairs AC unit. The unit had developed a refrigerant leak, and due to its age, we decided to replace the unit instead of paying to refill the refrigerant. Both the upstairs and downstairs compressors had to be turned off for the installation because they are connected to the same breaker.
