it is ridiculous that they make it so difficult to schedule an appointment when we are donating something to them! special donation department does not return calls after 3 and they do not pick up the phone when you call before 3 you have to leave a message for them to call you back regardless of what time it is or what day it is no one just answers the phone. if there was anywhere else in East Texas to donate I guarantee you I would donate there. but there is not so I'm stuck using this crap place giving them my bodily flui... read more

5 stars They are a local blood-center saving lives locally and across the Nation! They are an amazing organization in leading edge healthcare and research, the first ones to respond to disasters locally or far away supporting areas in need of blood. Supports and funds other charities across the globe and helps bring health care into third world countries. Recently donated a bus to Nigeria! How cool is that!

COMMUNICATE BETTER AMONG STAFF. THIS MORNING CALLED CARTER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE BLOOD DRIVE TODAY IN TYLER. WAS TOLD WE DIDN'T NEED ONE...JUST WALK RIGHT IN. WIFE AND I TOOK OFF WORK EARLY, DROVE 45 MINS.TO GET THERE, ONLY TO BE TOLD WE NEED AN APPOINTMENT. GREAT JOB CARTER! LOVE THOSE ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS! WE'LL BE SURE AND TRY TO DONATE AGAIN REAL SOON...HA!
I go to the Carter Blood Care in Mesquite. Everyone that is able should go there and donate.
It’s a shame the attitude of some of the employees is such that it tells a person we don’t care........ I have to have blood drawn due to a medical condition. To be told that I’m clogging up the system for those whose blood they can use tells me they’d just rather I not bother them and they could care less what happens they me. If there were another game in town I’d be headed that way.
