Our third purchase made at Holiday world and it will so be our last (I know slow learners) We made an appointment for some repairs on out 2015 Dynamax 3 on Sep 8 and told our service rep we needed it by Oct 10 for a trip we were planning - in any other business in the world this should have been plenty of time!!!!! We purchased a new Riverside Retro from the Katy location 2/11/15. One major reason we wanted an RV is so we could travel with our three dogs. We decided to get a new unit so we wouldn't have to worry about repairs and unknown problems. The 1st time we took it to the lake 4/16/15 we found out the propane tanks were not filled like we were told they were. We also noticed water on the floor but thought it was a spill. Worst experience ever. I actually canceled my loan(wich was already approved and signed) and bought the exact trailer in longview for $8500 cheaper! Sales guy Clay was very nice and helpful but finance manager was a joke.
My wife and I stopped by on Friday 8/7/2015 to look at some Solitudes and Montanas as we walked out on the lot we soon discovered that none of the units were unlocked, a salesman walked by and said that none of the units were unlocked and we needed to come back on Saturday when they flood the lots with salesman to keep an eye on things as he said they have had issues with customers using the bathrooms in the units. Living on Curacao we planned a US trip by car and travel trailer. We looked around different rv dealerships we went back to Holiday World Katy. Tim Carpenter, sales manager at Holiday World, gave us the feeling that he perfectly understood our wishes. Last week we bought a nice Keystone travel trailer! Awesome place. Tim Carpenter is the BEST! He did make a world of difference! Kind, patient, and considerate of all our needs and situation!
Tim Carpenter was an excellent sales person. Very helpful and got us the RV we wanted. However, the service side was not very good. Tried to charge me $50 to install a ball to a receiver, a 2 min job that I would have done myself after we already had a price to install the brake controller and everything else. 5 stars to Tim, one star to the install group.
Steve Cowen at the Leaque City location was very helpful. Had a great experience there.
Big shout out to Steve Sellars at Holiday World RV in Katy, Tx. Very patient and especially helpful in All areas of our trade up to a Grand Design RV.
