The USDA cited this slaughterhouse for an Inhumane Slaughtering Violation in April 2014. They shackled and hoisted an improperly stunned sheep. While it was hanging, it woke up, blinking, trying to right itself and furiously paddled. Instead of restunning this poor animal, the employee grabbed its muzzle and slit its throat alive. This is inexcusable and unlawful. This callous disregard for animal welfare and the law would make me think twice before doing business here.
