PHONY AND FAKE W/ ATTITUDE – I got my haircut in a upscale salon in Denver a few years ago. When the stylist found out I was from New York asked "Hey have you ever been to Bumble and Bumble?" I said no, but I would like to try it. Well I did last night, for a consultation. From the moment I entered the salon to the moment I left (which I wanted to do pretty quickly) there was an air of attitude!!! The stylist who I had the consultation with was not focused on what I was saying and acted like I was wasting his time. Then he g... read more

BAD ATTITUDE W/ GUCCI PRICES – In one word this place is a JOKE! The staff has an poor attitude that is equal to the poor service! I have never been near a bunch of people who felt that working at a trendy??? salon meant that they were better than the rest of the world. I was not treated well at all and the appointment was very impersonal! The old "word of mouth" expression definitely applies here. I am going to tell everyone I know to stay clear of this place!!!!

Beauty School Dropouts – First of all they treat you like they are doing you a favor by charging $400 for a cut and style. Have they missed the point that their customers pay the rent and their overinflated salaries. I can get a better cut for $20, not to mention overpriced products and "services." I can't think of one reason to ever return.

Assembly Line – OK - I did get a good haircut, but the whole experience was so impersonal. Plus, when they are charging the prices they do, you should not have to pay for coat check or coffee. No matter what time your appointment is, they always tell you to wait back at the cafe, where you pay $3.50 for a coffee + tips, and another $1-2 if you want to check in your coat. Then you have one shampooer, another person cutting your hair. There staff have too much attitude, it feels like you are just pushed along an assembly line.

great new location – if you want a versatile yet hip haircut, BB is the place to go. there were a bunch of bad reviews for the uptown location. i was there a year ago and got a great cut (short layered shag) there. they were crowded and super busy because they were preparing for the move to the new location. now that they've settled into the new salon, everyone's a lot more relaxed at both locations. this downtown salon is beautiful. eric cut my hair (this time a long layered cut) for only $85 and he was a dream hairstylist.... read more

Highly overrated – Great products and that's about it. I foolishly went there for a year - thinking that's just the way service is in New York. WRONG! Everytime I came in, the lady who cut my hair acted like she had never seen me before, I had to answer the same boring questions every time, and the haircut I received was progressively worse after every visit. As a first time visitor, you will feel completely clueless about where to go, what to do, and noone is friendly in helping you get to where you need to be. Save your ti... read more

Josie's a Pro! – I recently had my hair trimmed by Josie, who's a "junior level" stylist. However, don't be mislead by the salon's ranking system --This stylist knows her stuff and is a true professional. She does what you ask. The cut was reasonably priced at $75 and I was very pleased by the results.

Ron! – Just came back from a fantastic experience getting my hair cut with Ron - he gave me an incredibly versatile razor bob kind of thing that seems to also be the kind of technically outstanding haircut that always grows out great. If you're looking for a great razor cut you will love him. Haircut was $125.
