The tavern that rose from two fires to be the oldest restaurant in all of the town, is worth going to see based on History alone. The food, too, is a delicious range of traditional, home-cooked fare, made from scratch. The buffet menu offers a different variety of dishes each day and the numerous pies for dessert are a truly mouthwatering end to the meal. There is an event hall that seats up to 150 people. You can also pick up a couple of souvenirs to remember the trip from the small shop before you leave.

The proprietor was so welcoming and appreciative of everyone who came for lunch. He was walking around and talking to each table. Really good experience. Worth the trip no matter how far. Welcoming to motorcycle groups as well
