Portlanders have long awaited this restaurant since the owner closed Zefiro's. Portland's most elite are again hob-nobbing with each other amidst elegant and trendy surroundings. From the high ceilings to the opulent, mirror-bedecked restrooms, nothing has been overlooked. Wine is available from nearly any region or stick with your usual cocktail from the full bar. Poultry and seafood dominate the expansive menu, but you can also find plenty of pasta and beef. Be sure to leave room for an impressive dessert; like its predece... read more

Super Blue – We haven't dined at Blue Hour often, only three times in the past year, but when we have the food has ranged from extremely good to flatout exciting. We've had very happy Happy Hours (with our pooches on the porch) several times, but what seems overlooked in most reviews of the restaurant is the excellent and imaginative Brunch menu... that we've done a lot, including once with a party of eight, and it's a fantastic opportunity to sample the work of a clever and thoughtful kitchen crew at a very affordable price... read more
Great after-work place! – My co-worker and I are at the Bluehour quite often after work. Great drinks and good food.
swanky and expensivo A place to see and be seen, Blue Hour is the hub of Pearl nightlife. A good, slightly overpriced, dinner menu that frequently changes and a stocked bar. Draw the curtains for more privacy, or watch the steady stream of young professionals at the bar. Dress up for this swanky venue, and be sure to bring a loaded wallet
Cafe service, where's the love – Bluehour is fantastic, I've been a longtime customer. I've always enjoyed hanging out in the cafe with friends, but lately I have had terrible experiences with the service, especially while sitting outside. I've waited 20 minutes for a drink, 10 minutes just to be greeted! All the while the servers dressed in white chat with eachother...... Great drinks, great people, but poor service in the cafe. WHAT HAPPENED BLUEHOUR?
Positive and Negative – Never had a negative experience until today, when I ordered a proscuitto sandwich for lunch that definitly was not proscuitto. It was plain, seemingly overripe ham that made me feel sick and I actually got sick shortly thereafter. The staff is generally excellent, but this time they said that it just looked different, and that maybe the proscuitto was hidden in the sandwich. Ever time aside from this has been excellent, but I may never eat their again, as it's a daily thing for me, it's their $12,000 ... read more
Great Food – This place is awesome. They always have great standbys which include the gnocchi, the bacon wrapped scallops, and a to die for foie gras! The menu is always changing and inventive. This place is both romantic and edgy. I've never had the steak, but it always looks great. The drinks are great and made with fresh juices. They even have some non-alcoholic drinks that are delicious to. This place is great for celebrating a special occassion or just going out with friends. I have yet to eat on the bar side, but it se... read more
Overrated at best – Just because Portland does not have many top restaurants or trendy if you wish, why should we just give in to just an average performance by a restaurant that aspires to be great. If Bluehour wants to be that league, consistant food and service is a good place to start. Something they have yet to do.
Best Bartenders in Portland – These guys mix cocktails better than anyone in town. Fantastic every single time. And the bacon wrapped scallops may be the best dish I've ever eaten. Period. Can't comment on much else, but it's a cool place and those two things keep me coming back.
Are we in San Fransisco?? – Reminded me of being in the city of San Fran.. Loved it!
