Horrible company with worthless warranty!! Do not get one it's a scam and rip off. Trust me you are better off without a warranty at all because you end up paying for everything yourself even though IT IS covered in your warranty! They have every excuse and loop hole to not take care of your home. Horrible rude people who do not return calls or even attempt to help you. Don't waste your money or time with them. Read the reviews on the BBB for yourself.
These folks are fabulous. We have been customers for several years and they have always done right by us. I wouldn't hesitate to get a home warranty through them.
Don't ever buy a warranty from Blue Ribbon. One of our appliances broke. We called to get it fixed and was told if our inspector didn't "inspect" it, they would not cover it. We had to prove it was inspected buy sending them our inspection report. (Never had to do this before with other warranty companies) Then they finally send a repairman, but declined covering the cost. They claim one of the functions didn't fail. What the heck??? We had to pay the bill. This is a worthless warranty. Don't waste your money.
So far its been an abysmal interaction with the 1 out of 2 customer service reps and an absolutely shameful excuse/rationale from the Manager as to what was 'covered' and 'not covered' covered by the "Blue Ribbon Home Warranty" after the unit replacement work was already approved and completed. I just had to just file with the BBB about this. More to come if needed.
We have had Blue Ribbon for 11 years. They are helpful and understanding. Service is quick and reliable. I recommend them to everyone. Even if something isn't covered, they can usually help us find a repair person. Blue Ribbon tries very hard to be helpful and responsive. Our washer and fridge broke at the same time and one is being replaced and one is being fixed. Be sure you understand how your warranty works and what is covered and you should be very happy with Blue Ribbon.
I'm a Realtor and not happy with after hours customer service, extremely impersonal and unsympathetic to my client who doesn't have heat in 13 degree weather. I was extremely skeptical about the Blue Ribbon warranty product and I'm not longer going to recommend to my clients because of customer service and the fact that my client has to pay out of pocket for emergency work.
