We were leaving the state for a weekend with a family member watching our house. The water heater went out, on a day when we had been hit by a blizzard. Called blue ribbon and they called around until they found a plumber that could get it taken care of same day.
I recently had an urgent plumbing problem that required a water shut off and valve replacement. In the heat of the "crisis" I wasn't able to go thru the process of pre-qualifying the job with Blue Ribbon but I did submit a claim after the problem had been resolved. Blue Ribbon was gracious enough to offer some financial assistance when they really could have said NO. This was my first claim since I've had home warranty with them.
