Housed in an 18th century granary, this elegant, old brick restaurant Bistro Romano has been a Philadelphia dining mainstay since 1988. Located in the historic Society Hill district, it is a favorite of the local media and ranks amongst the area's top restaurants. The Smoked Chicken Ravioli and the Veal Rosini are two of the menu's more popular entrees. On weekends, diners can enjoy cocktails in its piano bar, or for a change of pace, take part in its acclaimed Mystery Theater.

We’ve dined here a few times a year for 20 years. The dining room is intimate, yet warm and relaxed. The food never disappoints. Any menu changes over the years has only strengthened the offerings. The meals are classic and familiar upscale dishes, made of fresh and vibrant ingredients. The staff is attentive, but not intrusive. Last night was our first time dining at Bistro Romano. The atmosphere was so warm and cozy and the food was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the burrata appetizer which was one of the night's specials. Service could not have been any better. We enjoyed it so much we made reservations for Christmas Eve as soon as we left.
Great service. Amazing atmosphere. Delicious food. What more can you ask for?
Yes yes yes - have a cocktail at the bar then enjoy the lobster ravioli or diver scallops - it was difficult to select from menu or the specials . Enjoy a delightful carrot cake for dessert - I was delighted !
