Housed in an 18th century granary, this elegant, old brick restaurant Bistro Romano has been a Philadelphia dining mainstay since 1988. Located in the historic Society Hill district, it is a favorite of the local media and ranks amongst the area's top restaurants. The Smoked Chicken Ravioli and the Veal Rosini are two of the menu's more popular entrees. On weekends, diners can enjoy cocktails in its piano bar, or for a change of pace, take part in its acclaimed Mystery Theater.

My boyfriend took me here on Sunday for our 7th Anniversary and proposed to me! The wine cellar was absolutely beautiful with rose petals sprinkled on the table and candles lit. The staff was beyond amazing and the food was delicious!! I can’t thank Bistro Romano enough for the most romantic proposal!

The staff here are extremely professional and welcoming. From the time you arrive, you know you're in for a special dining experience. The food was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the prices were great for the quality of the food. The ambience was perfect for a romantic dinner, but would suit any occasion. Would highly recommend!!!!

This restaurant is a definite must visit. It is romantically inviting & extremely welcoming. From the moment we entered to the moment we where seated. Our server, Michael, was simply amazing. His attentiveness, suggestions & recommendations on different appetizers & entrees was extremely appreciated. The Gnocchi is a definite bowl of comfort & the Spaghetti Bolognese was also fantastic. And don't get me started on the Chocolate Olive oil Cake, yummy to the max! Counting down the days till we visit again & much appreciated ag... read more
