I would give them no stars if I could. Worst customer service ever. Instead of telling me my service contract was canceled they continued to take my electronic payments for two years. I have called repeatedly to speak to Sabrina about a refund which I still have not received. She asked if I wanted another service contract the first time and I said yes and paid. Scam artist. In early February of 22 BGE Home sent out someone out (older man in his 60s)to inspect our Furnace. I have my 91 year old Mom living with Me. The Man said that because there was slight rust a the bottom of the Cabinet the whole unit had to be Replaced because gas will escape from the Bottom. I know Gases Rise and I told him the Cabinet isn't even sealed. He looked me in the Eyes and said the Cabinet was sealed. I'm thinking the Burners needed oxygen to burn . We had windows replaced 4 years ago that were supposed to be high quality and would help keep our home warmer. (We paid $750 ea. for these windows and they are supposed to have a life time warranty.) Well these windows are leaking air and some of the weather stripping is coming off. So, we called and they sent this guy out to look at them. Instead of calling or canceling policy for underpayment BGE Home continued to take monthly electronic checks for over 3 years. Any other business with great customer service would have canceled the policy after not receiving the correct amount billed! So if I never called to end the policy or to submit a home warranty claim, I would not have know a debt was accruing.

Terrible customer service. Never showed up. Ms. Dawn the supervisor was very rude towards me regarding a mistake in error that BGE Home has done. I placed a repair request on January 11th to have my stove repaired. Someone from customer service told me that instead of paying the service fee. I wouldn't have to pay. I was enrolled in a protection plan without my knowledge and given a recurring bill. When I call the number on the billing statement, they take a very long time to answer. I just wanted a repair, I had such a headache with that, I was not ready to start a long term financial obligation with them and wanted to shop for something else. Not only did the furnace fail inspection, it took another work order to resolve that issue when I expected to have a full system quote and did not get that. They aren't that cheap either. I have a contract with BGE and I had to wait for 30 plus hours to get service. It's been 30 degrees and my family has been without heat. I can't believe that they allowed my family to go without heat for that amount of time .
BGE Home cancellation policy is questionable. I cancelled the service in Sept 2021 but BGE Home continued to bill me. I was notified that the policy was for a year and I agreed to pay if I received a copy of my agreement. They sent me a blank agreement. I paid for Oct and November because I knew my service ended in November. Today, I received a bill for 12/16/2021. Recently had a new hot water heater installed and decided to use BGE Home because I thought they had a reliable reputation. The appliance had 2 large dents in it and was told that there was nothing wrong with the function of the unit and was given a discount. Then I noticed after the installer left that the pan was slightly crumpled so I called the supervisor and he said the pan could be replaced.
