You guys are horrible! Not that you care and you will probably just throw this out, but I'm passing what happened on to the consumer protection agency. False advertising. Had a location booked online near our house. Miles were accounted for. You changed our location to one further away without contacting us. After talking with your customer support and traffic dept. who were unwilling to work with us AT All, they told us the location was only preferred. I'm currently using this business and it has been a nightmare just getting in the storage unit.Not only that they do not tell you about all the hidden fees or extra charges.Their customer service skills need improving badly.Worst storage services ever.

Email and Phone Confirmations Mean Nothing to U-Haul. I made an on-line reservation with U-Haul to get a hitch installed. I called the local U-Hual location to confirm. When I arrive, the owner said he could not due it until Wednesday. He stated the call to confirm rolled over to the call center and they routine screw customers since they promise everything without calling the local store. This company gives out poorly maintained equipment. My truck was severely out of alignment. A trailer I rented had no working lights on the driver's side. The tow dolly I rented the lights stopped working after only a few minutes. I contacted Uhaul and was promised 159 dollars in refunds. They gave me 100. Multiple calls were un-returned. I contacted them via the website, no response. Uhaul had charged me for gas and exceeding my mileage under the contract. I had opened a dispute with them over a week ago and still have no resolve. Even the customer service rep I spoke with said there was no way I exceeded my mileage based on their odometer readings, and I Have a picture of the gas gauge with mileage when I picked up the truck, as it was between half and full....and that's what they got back. Uhaul has repeatedly proven to have terrible customer service. I have used the U-box shipping program three times and EVERY time I have had huge disasters and lies from employees to deal with. Everything from the manager holding the box to collect an extra months rental fee to boxes going missing in transport and not being able to be traced, to most recently the company falsely advertising a u-box center in a location without the necessary tools to accept a box rendering my box stuck over 40 minutes away and me without any w... read more

I had a trailer hitch installed by U-Haul today. I went through their reservation process online and found that U-Haul was noticeably cheaper than the local competitors. It turns out that to get a complete receiver and hitch called for adding a hitch and ball to the order ($30) and upgrading to a more expensive receiver ($20) because the one I requested isn't stocked anywhere in the Tampa Bay area. Employees are involved in some type of scam to get extra money out of customers. They are not properly logging in returns then going after customers for extra money in late fees. I rented a trailer on Friday night and returned it Sunday late afternoon. The U-Haul staff collaborated to claim I never returned the trailer then claimed I magically returned it on Thursday. There was an online rental in my name that I did not make. Mr. Burman was thorough and quick in responding and trying to find the solution and what could have gone wrong. The solution was my info was used instead of my sister's. My sister pointed this out to the clerk who filed in the contract, who said he corrected the mistake. It wasn't and she didn't check.
