I reserved a 26' truck 2 weeks in advance of my move date. At 6 PM the night before my move (with the truck pickup at 9:30 AM), the regional manager called to tell me that my truck would not be available. The offered recourse was either a 20' truck (which was insufficient for my move across state lines), or a $50 credit to my card. I dropped my car of at 11:00 for a trailer hitch and was told it would take about 2 1/2 hours. At 1:30 I called to asked about the status. The woman who answered said she would have someone call me. I repeated I simply want the status. She hung up on me. I called a little later, explained how rude the woman was and asked about the car. He said it was ready but made no comment about how unprofessional the woman was. I was treated poorly and insulted because Uhaul customer service offered me an free month of storage due to renting an 26 ft truck. It was all because the day prior I reserved a truck that wasnt available for my reservation. Eloise made her business let me know Uhaul shouldnt have the right to give units away due individual locations lose money. Yet I had nothing to do what was offered to me because of my inconvenience. I recently booked a U-Haul U-box to ship my belongings from Wisconsin to Oregon. My experience has been very negative and the blame has been shifted by each player involved. Ultimately though, it's U-Haul's responsibility. After filling my U-Box, my shipping request was cancelled internally. Completely botched my reservation costing me time and money. What good is an offer for a "free additional day" do for me if I can't get the truck I need, when I need it because of a failure to fulfill on your part? ZERO Stars

I rented a 6×12 trailer and a hitch on a sunday from 12-10 and returned along with 8 other trucks in the drop off line. When I signed for trailer and told the associate I would return at 10 he said nothing other than "ok". The following Friday Jason the store manager ran my card for $152 and stated I returned the trailor that day (4 days later). There are other options around, go to them, any of them. The owner of this place is pathetic, miserable and has absolutely no integrity. Mistakes happen, absolutely, that's part of life. But don't expect for store management or even upper management, district / regional to make things right or even care. There's definitely a pattern here, and it's one you should avoid.

Abandoned, hold the bag and Frustrated To make a long horrible story short, I reserve a 20ft truck that was wasn’t there, CS said none to be found and to deal with it. As a result, I am left in Limbo, my friends, who are working professional and have very limited free time, could only help me move that day, I don’t know when I can find help moving, I’m paying for extra storage, I have to stay with my parents, and try to find help and time to move. I had a confirmed order for a truck to pick up this last weekend when I was called the day before and told by a very rude staff member that they did not have the truck I have confirmed but that an alternate location had one that was 10 miles away, at .99 a mile this amounted to an additional $20 on my bill for the rental. They would not give me a $20 credit for going out of my way to get a "Confirmed Order" , said it was only a "preferred location" for pickup.
