BBVA Compass Bank will steal your money. I have the BBVA Wallet downloaded on my phone. They told me that would give me real time information on my account. So I check my account everytime before I do a withdrawal or a transaction. Whenever I do a transaction, BBVA puts the transaction on hold (they say they are waiting for the merchant to come in and claim it) and in the meantime, the transaction amount is deleted from my available balance, but it is still visible in my "posted" balance. My card was blocked I called to try and get my card unblocked.. on the phone for 1 hour on hold then then the call dropped on their end why I said their end.. I call 3 times before the long hold. every time I entered my acct number and prompt a selection I get disconnected. This is very inconvenient for customers.

I had a car loan with these sharks. In 2015, my car was totaled. I had GAP insurance. All was paid off and nothing from Compass Bank was ever sent to me. They told me the Title would be mailed to ****. We are now trying buy a home and I find out that I somehow owe $577.13 to these Sharks. I had to pay this in order to move forward with the sell/buying of our home. Next step...lawyer!! STAY AWAY from these people!!!

I was having issues which required the attention beyond a typical teller. The ordeal should have taken 10-15 minutes before it was solved. Upon entering there was already one person that had been there. I waited patiently while the two banking specialists were finishing up with the customers they had. One (a.k.a. first specialist) finished and helped the customer ahead of me. No problem. This is where things went wrong on so many levels. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a bank. I got an account with this bank because I heard it was somewhat a good bank. I deposit two checks everything is going fine. I deposit my third check, and they decide to put a hold on it. I go into the bank and ask if there was anything they could do to help me out and get the hold off, and they tell me they could not do a single thing about it. I made an on-line purchase, and afterwards found out that the purchase was coming from China. China's government pays for all postage in to the US so that merchants can prosper. The item I authorized to be charged to my account was not the item I received. After many exchange of emails, and in very broken English, the merchant said they can credit me $15 on my next purchase (haha, I will never order from them again). The item was $139.00. The customer service at the Heights in Houston Texas is horrible. They are eager to assist anyone to secure business, however when a problem exist you're told to contact the 800# and get no where. Here are a few examples of what has happened so far - 1. I have called the Heights bank to speak to "Veila" who never returns calls and her phone is always forwarded. This is has to be the worst bank ever and the worst mistake I've ever made. I should have came here first to read all the bad reviews before opening an account with this "horrid" so called of a bank. I've filed multiple fraud cases with them and to my demised customer service was terrible and no one wanted to help. I was transferred to the fraud department, then I was told that this is not our department and I need to speak with the investigators. THIS BANK IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Everything in every aspect. disgusting, horrible, terrible, untrustworthy, money stealing, rude nasty employees, I 100% believe this bank should be shut down especially from the amount of complaints. all reviews that are positive sound extremely fake. I financed my car through BBVA Compass because I was told by the dealership they had low interest.
