I wish i could put 0 stars. They lie to you charge extra interest because they "lost your account info so the payment was late" refuse to send a lean release for over a year saying that is not our policy you have to take care of that with your DMV. You can only use the online banking if you have a checking account. Charge 10 dollars for over the phone payments. remove authorized users from your account. The final straw? Bogus is the term that best describes this bank. About a year ago, I received a new debit card with the magical chip in it. Their design was to print all of the information (my name, card number, expiration date, and code) on the back of the card. No raised numbers or letters because someone might (this was their excuse) get the envelope and run it through the old card machines that made an imprint of the card (through the envelope of course) and the person would not notice that this was done (really?). My experience with this bank has been the worst I have ever encountered. An associate recommended this bank, I can only say that it is a recommendation that I wish I had completely ignored. Being headquartered in one of the most racist states in North American history I was very reluctant to do business with BBVA Compass. This Bank id horrible, especially with this new real time, I used my debit card by mistake, went right across the street to put money back in the account less than 5 mins. 2 days later charged NSF fee, more than twice, most bank allow you 24 hrs. to deposit the money not Compass. RIP off just in it to make money. You get the tellers tell you something different from customer service no one is on the same page.

This bank needs so many things to improve that it is a daunting uphill task. One hand has NO CLUE what the other hand is doing. It took me over 10 days (after leaving message after message and emails) to finally reach Ried F***** in the Montgomery, AL area. They have absolutely no sense of urgency in any banking matter. This bank is AWFUL. Their customer service is horrible. I had canceled payments from another company to a new card (different bank) and they admitted the mistake (it made me go under since I had little in the account- I was going to close it!) They tried to fix their mistake, but could not issue a refund. I e-mailed, called, wrote about this problem so that BBVA could fix the issue. Sent proof that they admitted fault. Everything. Worst Company ever. Very irresponsible and incompetent. My wife and I applied for a mortgage refinance twice and both times the loan was denied due to their incompetence. The first time, our loan officer took an extended leave of absence during the middle of the loan process and failed to submit our paperwork to the underwriting department prior to her taking leave. Be aware of overdraft fees. You will wait for about 1 hour to be able to talk to customer service. Once they are on the phone with you they will argue with you about what you see on you available balance vs. posted balance. I was charged 228.00 in overdraft fees(38.00 each) because of a total amount only 29.50. I'm so sick of this bank! Don't use it!!

I am having a very difficult time getting hold of any customer service. I have a couple of fixed deposits (CDs), maturing soon and I got a letter that they will be automatically renewed if I do nothing. I have repeatedly called the customer service number to not auto-renew them.
